The ancient pottery town of Delft is famous for Delftware, the delicate blue and white coloured glazed pottery it has produced since the sixteenth century. This town of almost 100,000 inhabitants has a wide range to offer the modern visitor, however, and is also conveniently situated for visits to Rotterdam and the Hague. A gym nearby the comfortable Campanile hotel offers fitness facilities a pool and a sauna to guests and bikes are also available for rent – an excellent way to see the town.
